28 year old Jocelyn was in a relationship with the man she'd known since age 13, Peter. The young couple was in the blissful throws of love until Christmas of 2004 when Jocelyn purchased World of Warcraft for her loving husband.

Little did Jocelyn know, her husband would be quickly taken by the game. They had their first discussion over his growing obsession with the game in May of 2005, only 5 months later. It was only 4 months later that Jocelyn would move from their home of 6 years because she had been replaced by a fantasy world.

According to Jocelyn, World of Warcraft was the main reason for their separation. A recorded confession to her husband is as follows: "I'm real, and you're giving me up for a fantasy land. You're destroying your life, your six-year marriage, and you're giving it up for something that isn't even real."

Despite their differences, the couple has remained friends since the separation, and Peter has even agreed to cutting his time spent on the game. Jocelyn, herself, was a gamer; in fact, she worked for Blizzard Entertainment on a project prior to WoW. She claims that all MMORPGs are built the same as a drug. They make the game never ending so you must continue playing to maintain your status in the fantasy realm, which keeps almost every player crawling to them for more.

In the interview with Yahoo! Games, Jocelyn was asked if she would consider marrying another Warcraft player, to which she laughed. "That's actually one of my primary criteria now -- I don't want to marry someone who is a gamer."
