I, for one, am personally excited for Cloverfield when it releases in a few weeks.

Here's a quick plot summary courtesy of Comingsoon.net:

"Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives."

Though, I am disappointed to report that it's only PG-13, so don't expect a lot of blood, gore, violence, and the like from the field of horror films.

Also, it stars a bunch of nobodies, so don't come into the theatre thinking you'll see a bunch of familiar faces on the screen.

Anyway, it opens up on January 18, 2008 so if you live in the greater Saginaw area, I'll see you at Cinema Hollywood on o
pening night.
