XboxEvolved has posted an interested story that Microsoft, Rare, MGM Studios and Activision are bringing Goldeneye 007, from the Nintendo 64 catalogue, to the Xbox Live Arcade.
From John Olin, XboxEvolved Director himself, they (all companies previously mentioned) "have come to an agreement to bring the Rareware developed Goldeneye 007 out to Xbox Live Arcade shortly before the new game developed by Activision is released."
If this is true, it would be another big release for the Arcade service to add to the list with the likes of Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, and DOOM already released for it.
In addition, Mundorare.com has also broke the story about it being updated with special features. The following comes straight from Mundorare.com
"This special edition supposedly included, among others, the following features:
- Flawless recreation of the original gameplay. The game used the original code, running on an Xbox 360.
- Solid 60 frames a second.
- High definition graphics with the option to switch back to the original N64 graphics any time.
- Four-way online split-screen multiplayer, with the option to see what the other three players can see, even over Live.
- New multiplayer maps, including the single player Dam, Depot or Frigate levels as multiplayer arenas."
Along with this information, they provided a screenshot from the "supposed special edition." Below is the picture and you can come to the conclusions yourself if this is really the Goldeneye in works or just a Half-Life Source Mod. We'll keep you updated if we find out anything new on this rumored title.

HELL YES! This game was definitely the origin of 3-D shooter games. Not really, but it is damn near my favorite game. Kind of sucks, Natalie has it for 64, but she hates it and won't play it with me. :(
Haha, I have discussed this, and other games coming to Xbox Live Arcade, with some of my friends and I am PUMPED!
